About Salty Soul Charters

Our Salty Souls

Salty Soul Charters began with a simple vision, we wanted a chance to share the best part of Key West with you in the most kind, fun and safe way possible. Our team is made of a group of captains that are dedicated to maintaining our original mission. We pay attention to small details, have updated equipment and our boats are always clean and maintained.

Our Salty Crew

Captain Jane

Captain Jane is the founder of Salty Soul Charters. Her goal was simple: create a personalized boating experience that EVERYONE can enjoy.

Want to snorkel a shipwreck? Learn about the eco system? Dolphin watch? Catch dinner? Or just cruise and chat? Jane is up for anything.

Whether she’s driving large ferries in Alaska or navigating the back country waters of Key West, Jane is just happy to be on the water and meeting new people from all over the world.

Ask her about her road trip from Key West to Skagway, Alaska with her dog, Emma; Or the time she backpacked around Southeast Asia solo!

Jane’s lighthearted and kind, mid-western spirit, combined with her focus on safety will surely make this the highlight of your vacation. Dog lover? Feel free to invite First Mates, Sunny or Arlo!

Captain Chase

Captain Chase brings adventure, heart, and years of experience to every Salty Soul charter — the perfect blend of wilderness guide, world traveler, and laid-back Key West captain.

Before making Key West home, he spent years in the Boundary Waters guiding canoe trips, snowshoeing, and even dog sledding! He’s captained everything from island boats to a 110-foot disaster relief vessel in Haiti. With 9 years on the water in Key West (and now literally living on his boat), Chase is known for his calm confidence, great stories, and easygoing vibe that instantly puts guests at ease.

Whether you’re snorkeling, exploring mangroves, or cruising with a drink in hand, he’s the kind of captain who feels more like a friend. Upon request, Chase brings along his sweet boat dog, Piper as the perfect first mate.

Captain Morgan

Captain Morgan is the whole package — 15 years of local knowledge on the water, a great attitude, and a lifetime of stories ranging from winning a karaoke contest with an Afroman song to being voted “Most Likely to Succeed” in a graduating class of five, plus wild tales from his life as a captain on the party boat.

He’s fished commercially, competed in sport tournaments, captained private boats for oil tycoons, and knows all the best spots in Key West. Whether you’re fishing, snorkeling, or just cruising, Morgan makes every day on the water feel like a fun adventure with your favorite friend.

First Mate ~ Sunny

Sunny is a true Island Dog, originally from the streets of South Andros, Bahamas! His enthusiasm for life is contagious and very entertaining.

Sunny loves to leap around the sandbar chasing fish, despite never having caught one before! He comes running when he hears the sound of drag on your fishing pole, and he's been known to sneak attack several kisses.

Be ready for some free entertainment if you invite Sunny along on your charter!

Second Mate ~ Arlo

Alro is the most laid-back Mate and he is a Key West Native!

He takes his lifeguarding duties very seriously, and he will cuddle with anyone who lets him! To Sunny’s dismay, he caught a fish on his first day at the sandbar.

He would love to be invited along to share his love of all humans with you!
