Key West has dozens of amazing Sandbars to enjoy!
By popular demand, we love to travel through the mangrove channels in The Mud Keys. Simply enjoy a boat cruise through narrow channels and ask your captain to stop at one of the sandy areas to get out and explore. Walk, swim, or snorkel through mangrove trees and experience the unique ecosystem that exists in the Florida Keys.
Ask about hidden hammock and sandy trail! This place is magical and a must see when visiting Key West! Even in windy conditions we can come here and find calm protected water!
Mingle with the locals at Snipes Point, a popular sandbar island on the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the pristine clear waters, snorkel the limestone ledges, and look for lobster and fish, swing on the famous swing, and even venture further into the mangroves!
Up for an extra adventure? Ask your captain about the secret creek that flows through the island.

Let’s travel West to Woman Key, Boca Grande, and Cottrell sandbars!
Woman Key is a beautiful sandy area in the shallow waters in the Straits of Florida. Expect waist deep water here. Walk around and enjoy viewing live conch!
Boca Grande has a beautiful beach to enjoy, and hermit crabs are an easy find, along with many other shells. We love the little hidden path through the mangrove trees as well as the built in “lazy river.” Grab a pool noodle and relax in the water while you float along the beach!
Cottrell sandbar is less visited if you’re looking for a more private experience. There’s also great snorkeling here.

Traveling East offers the trifecta: Jewfish basin, The Mud Keys, and Snipes Point.
Jewfish Basin has two beautiful sides divided by a channel. It’s a huge open sandy area for your group to wade in ankle to waste deep water depending on the tide. It’s a great place to search for conch shells, sea cucumbers and lightening whelks. You’ve never seen water this clear!

A sandbar trip is a single Excursion, and we can fit multiple excursions into a charter!

~ We have 2 Boats for groups up to 12 and we can coordinate more local captains for larger groups.

What should we expect?
Expect to witness incredible views like you’ve never seen before! We will encounter wildlife, anything from turtles, dolphins, sting rays, birds, and more. We will drive through protected mangrove areas and pick from an assortment of beautiful white sandbars. We can customize as we go, snorkel along the way, fish, look for dolphins etc.
What if the weather is bad?
We will cancel/reschedule if there is thunder and/or lightning. If it is just windy we can find many hidden spots to have a wonderful experience and still remain very safe.
